I can't believe it has been one year since we Launched Lily Fields Distilling Co !
Even more so, I can't believe all the amazing things that have happened in our first year. You never know what to expect when you start a new business, but I couldn't be prouder of our little team and what we have achieved in this first year.
I want to create a little list to re-cap on some of the huge things that happened in the first year of Lily Fields Distilling Co!
November 2022:
We launched our Sydney Gin Distillery in late November with "Sydney Dry Gin". At about the same time we opened our Garden Gin Bar at the Leichhardt Bowlo. A space to serve simple cocktails, Gin tastings and act as our cellar door.
January 2023:
Sydney Dry Gin was voted No. 36 in the Hottest 100 Aussie Gins of 2022. Given this was just 2 months after launching this was amazing! It was the first little sign that we were on our way. At the same time customers and venues were coming back again and again for Sydney Dry Gin.
March 2023:
We launched our Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, a colab with local coffee roaster Brew Ha Ha.
April 2023:
We launched Juniper Dry Gin, and received our very first medal - Silver, for Sydney Dry Gin in the prestigious London International Spirits Competition. Winning Silver was just incredible and again another sign that we were doing things right.
May 2023:
Two more International Silver Medals for Sydney Dry Gin - San Francisco Spirits Awards and the American Distilled Spirits Awards. We continued to get more followings and had a pop up bar at VIVID Sydney which was so great to be part of. Our little Sydney Gin Distillery was growing.
June 2023:
We launched our Gin Gift Packs. 3 * 200ml mini bottles.
August 2023:
3 GOLDS
Juniper Dry Gins first competition and it took out GOLD in both the Australian Gin Awards 2023 and the Melbourne Royal Distilled Spirits Awards 2023 (London Dry Gin Class)
Sydney Dry Gin was also awarded GOLD in the Melbourne International Spirits Competition 2023
September 2023:
At the presentation for GOLD at the 2023 Australian Gin Awards we found out we actually won the Trophy. Best Australian Gin, London Dry Gin Class - For our Juniper Dry Gin - An incredible feeling. I will never forget that day. All of the previous awards were amazing. But this one - A TROPHY - Best Australian Gin, Classic London Dry Gin - I couldn't speak for over a week.
It was this moment that I realized that we were going to be OK. This crazy (and expensive) dream of mine was going to work.
A Trophy, 9 months after our launch and on our second product. Unbelievable !
October 2023:
Another Gold for Sydney Dry Gin in the Tasting Australia Awards
Launch of our 2023 Limited Release Pinot Noir Gin and 700ml Negroni
November 2023:
16 medals, One Incredible Year. I couldn't be prouder.
Thank you to everyone who is on this journey with us, we can't thank you enough.
I can't wait to see what the next year brings!
